Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Tie it Up

Flight

I made this piece using Elizabeth Craft Designs, Devid Roodenburg’s new release and it works perfectly for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge “Tie it Up”. I love all the layers and the torn paper edges. This has to be one of my favorite die sets because it has the torn edges of a notebook, only in a smaller scale. The new release is great for layering.

I started with the larger die from the Torn set and added Distress Antique Linen, Old Paper, Pumice Stone and Vintage Photo in layers and then folded the edge at an angle and stapled it. I stamped texture using the Elizabeth Craft Designs stamp set from the new release and stamped and fussy cut sentiments. I layered smaller cutouts from the Torn set and then tied it up with twine and a button.

I made the button by gluing multiple layers of the same die, distressed it with ink and then added crackle over the top layer. I love making vintage looking buttons.

I tucked the butterfly cutout, on its side, from the Ornate Butterfly die set. It comes in four pieces and I layered all four pieces on top of each other, giving each different colors and texture. It is colored with a mix of TH Distress Watercolor Pencils and Oxides. The top cutout wing section has Distress Texture Paste Sparkle over it.

I have added links to the Elizabeth Craft Designs dies and stamps below. I would really appreciate it if you would help me out.
